Tech Upgrades for BMW's ConnectedDrive

It used to be that when someone bought a car, they'd expect it to drive well, be relatively safe, and maybe offer a sweet sound system. But somewhere along the way it got to be that new cars fall behind if they don't also provide the most cutting-edge technology in infotainment, and that's why BMW got involved with developing iDrive in the first place.
But we've come a long ways from that first iteration of iDrive, and now the new version of the infotainment system, called ConnectedDrive, is newer and cooler and easier to use than ever before.
With upgrades coming soon to new BMW 3 Series vehicles (among others in our stable), customers will have access to some really cool stuff. For starters, drivers in select major cities will notice that the real-time GPS they love so much will now have 3D buildings on it. Also, the controller for the entire system is now a larger touch-sensitive panel with pinch-to-zoom like with Apple and Android products.
Even better for those in the market for new BMW cars in Santa Monica is the updated voice recognition software, which our engineers have said will be the best in the auto business. This means crisper voice commands when using Bluetooth-enabled smartphone apps, as well as more accurate text-to-speech function when it comes to vocal texts.
In all, these are updates we know our customers are going to love, particularly the ones who love their technology. Hey, it's what people expect out of a new car these days, and luckily we can provide them some really neat things in that arena.
