BMW To Offer Yelp On ConnectedDrive

Every adult, at some point, has been on the move somewhere during mealtime with zero idea about where to eat. If you drive long enough in any direction you're bound to bump into a McDonald's or a Subway, but in case you're the type of person who likes to enjoy local fare, finding that diamond in the rough can be pretty challenging.
The Yelp smartphone app changed all that, allowing users to scroll through nearby restaurants and read real-time reviews from tons of online users. The problem with that, of course, is that to properly and safely use a smartphone you can't be driving a vehicle. Not any more, though, as BMW has announced that they'll offer a special version of Yelp meant for automotive use through their ConnectedDrive infotainment system. This allows the car's application to read business reviews aloud for you, which is why it's so much safer than trying to use an iPhone while driving.
So if you drive a BMW in Los Angeles, one of the most blessed culinary cities in the country, you're about to have an entirely new selection of eating opportunities opened up to you, just because we've added this little nugget to your BMW X5 (or whatever other BMW model you may drive). Yelp helps take the risk out of picking a restaurant, and now you can do your perusing for these eateries safely from behind the wheel of your car. You'll never have to eat at a McDonald's again, unless, of course, you're into that sort of thing.
