BMW Has Two Nominees for World Car of the Year

The world is filled with automobiles.  In today's society, the majority of people don't have jobs if they don't have car, and that means more and more companies are doing everything they can to remain competitive in one of the most profitable industries on the planet.  The number of automakers out there is almost overwhelming, and when one considers how many models each of those corporations manufactures, it really starts to get humongous.  That's why getting nominated as a finalist for the World Car of the Year award is such a huge honor.

Perhaps an even bigger honor for BMW dealers in Los Angeles is the fact that BMW doesn't boast just one of the ten finalists; two of our vehicles made the short-list.  Audi is the only other brand that boasts two models as finalists in this little competition.  Everybody else is just happy to be invited to the party.

So which of our many reputable models is up for the honor?  The BMW 3 Series and 1 Series both could win this accolade, which will be voted upon in the coming several weeks with the winner announced at the New York International Auto Show on April 21st.

We're in pretty good company-outside of the four vehicles being considered from BMW and Audi, the World Car of the Year nominees include the Porsche 911, Chevy Volt, and Ford Focus, all of which have received plenty of positive press this year.  But beating the odds to topple our best offerings doesn't look like it's going to happen.  We're predicting a BMW victory because, quite frankly, we believe we make the best cars in the world.
