Well, the day has finally arrived, Center BMW customers; the new My BMW Remote app is now officially available for Apple iOS devices.  As of February 16th, any BMW owner with BMW Assist and an iPhone can head over to the Apple Store (the virtual version), pull down the  app, and start doing all kinds of really awesome stuff with your vehicle.

Anyone who drives a BMW in Los Angeles will find myriad uses for this thing.  You'll very quickly forget what life was like before the My BMW Remote app came into your life.  Let's have a look at a few of the things this wonderful little piece of technology can do:

• Vehicle Position - If you're within a half a mile of where you parked your vehicle, you can simply turn this feature on and a map will pop up to show you how to get back to it.  How many times have you forgotten where you parked in a major city?  This takes away the aimless wandering.
• Google Local Search - Find local restaurants, parking garages, and other businesses in proximity to where you're driving.
• Remote Locking and Unlocking - Ever parked your car, headed inside, and wondered honestly if you remembered to lock it?  Stress not.  A tap of a button on your iPhone and it'll be all taken care of.
• Remote Horn and Remote Headlights - You can sound your horn or flash your headlights any time to help you find your vehicle in a crowded parking lot.

Pretty cool, huh?  And it's a free download as long as your vehicle already has BMW Assist.  Assuming that's the case, consider your life officially altered forever (but in a good way).
