Is the BMW 3 Series The Best Car Ever?

Auto dealers are, by nature, pretty good at pumping up our own brands of vehicle. After all, our entire business depends entirely on convincing the general public that there is no vehicle in the world better than a BMW. Los Angeles consumers have hundreds of different models to choose from, but we want to try to convince them that ours would be the wisest choice.
Of course, the difference between a BMW and every other automobile on the planet is that ours actually are the very best automotive machines money can buy. That, at least, is the opinion of Top Gear co-host Richard Hammond, who knows a thing or two about cars.
Hammond directs his attention to the latest iteration of BMW 3 Series, the model he specifically believes is perhaps the greatest ever assembled. In an article he wrote for London's "The Daily Mirror," he calls the vehicle "three-mendous," essentially asking the question, "What do you want a car to do that this car doesn't do?"
From a mechanical and engineering standpoint, these vehicles have been at the top of "Best Car" lists for decades, but he also thinks that the sixth generation design is essentially flawless. Throw in the fact that these cars have almost half a century's worth of reputation supporting the fact that they hold up well over time, and you've got a pretty solid argument for what we have to agree amounts to at least one of the best cars of all time, if not the very best, period. After all, who are we to argue with the experts?
